Dear Family and Friends;
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…..
Wow what a year we have had. It hasn’t exactly been the easiest year here in AZ. There have been a lot of ups and downs but God has certainly been faithful and kept true to his word and been with us the whole way.
Last February Lori’s mom passed away from heart problems. It was unexpected and fast, but family came together to celebrate her life the way she would have wanted it and it was a great time for all of us to remember her and her life of faith. This will certainly be a difficult first Christmas without her. So, it is to her that we dedicate this letter.
Drew and Spencer, made school changes this year as well. So, Drew goes to Sandra Day High School where he is a freshman, which is also where Kassi goes, she is a Junior this year. Spencer goes to Stetson hills this year along with Jake where Spencer is in 7th grade and Jake is in 8th. They are all very busy and growing up way too fast. They keep us very active and our house is definitely never quiet. Ashli is in Tucson in her third year of college majoring in journalism.
Joy to the world the Lord has come. Let earth receive her king!
We have also embarked on a new adventure of starting a new business. On January 1, 2008 we will be the owners of Kaplan Manufacturing. It is a die manufacturing company that makes dies for various industries and we will hopefully be branching out into the aerospace industry which is where Steve has worked for the past 6 years. It is a new and somewhat scary journey but we know that we are being led in this direction and where God leads we will follow. We will keep you all posted as to how it goes….we are very excited!!!
Oh come all ye faithful. Joyful and Triumphant!
Another piece of news to share is the new member we have added to our family. We have several animals in our home that are part of the mix here. We have a corn snake that is a pretty pink color, long and slimy and eats things like live lizards and dead mice…..gross, we have a cute little gecko that eats crickets…we have a fun guinea pig named frank who squeaks at anyone passing by just to let ya know he is here. And then there is Elvis. Elvis is the new member of our family. Elvis is a pot belly pig from Virginia. He is loveable and annoying and sweet and annoying and cuddly and annoying all at the same time. And we love him.
So, from all of us to all of you we hope that you have a happy holiday season and that you remember that Jesus is here all year long to fill your hearts with hope.
